Minds Over Matter Presents
Bringing Affordable and accessible Mental Health resources to all Calgarians
About the Program
The Barrier-Free Counselling program has been designed by Minds Over Matter Mental Health Society in the hope of helping to break down the barriers that many Calgarians face in finding accessible and affordable mental health care in Calgary.
This program will finance up to a maximum of 8 sessions with a registered psychologist for 18-30 year-old Calgarians who are in need of mental health support and are not able to afford private therapy. Please be advised the application process for this program requires proof of financial need.
With the initial rollout of this program, Minds Over Matter looks to target the often-overlooked age group of 18-30 year-olds who make $30,000 or less per year. While we recognize that there are many barriers for every age group, this group is often left in a state of limbo between being recognized as young-adults/adults out on their own and realistically having reasonable access to affordable resources or benefits for Mental Health care.
